Today my son and I spent about 2 hours within the trails of the Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve right here in Cape Coral, Florida.  Located just south of the Midpoint bridge, right on the Caloosahatchee River. We both brought our cameras so I hope you enjoy our photos. I'm going to showcase my son's photos first! Did I tell you he is only 5 years old? Cape Coral Spreader Canal

I live across the street from what is known as the Spreader Canal in Cape Coral. It is a 200 foot wide canal along most of the west coast of Cape Coral. Beyond this spreader canal is a preserve area of mostly mangroves. Tonight the sunset was so pretty I grabbed my camera and snapped some shots.   This is a photo of my next door neighbor's Palm Trees. You cannot see the water in this photo but it is just below.   Here is the water view, just to the south of the palm trees.   And here is a view down the intersection of a canal with the larger, spreader canal   So, that's my front yard....   I just finished reading an article put out by The Associated Press over at MSNBC about the amount of FORECLOSURES. Looks like our area - Cape Coral / Fort Myers - ranks #1 according to data supplied by RealtyTrac.  You can click to read that article here. Why all the foreclosures?
